I travel by airplane, train, bus, rental car, taxi, tram, ferry … rarely bicycle and never by moped, motorcycle or electric scooter. I usually stay in 3-5 stars hotels, b&bs or apartments - Accommodation.

- I don't have one travel plan, I have many. First I check the price of the ticket, then the timetable and the weather at the destination.
- And always one-way tickets.
France . Marseille . Gare de Saint-Charles
- I never book any tickets long in advance. Often the same day or just 1-5 days before.
- Sometimes at the train station, just before the train leaves. But avoid buying on the train, it will cost more and may come with a fine too.
Portugal . Douro Valley
- A pleasant train journey along the beautiful Douro River: Porto - Régua - Pinhão - Pocinho. The small town of Pinhão is a nice.

Italy . Amalfi Coast
- Buses are good for shorter trips of 2–4 hours. Don't take the bus on winding roads if you get motion sick easily.
- The road along the Amalfi Coast is beautiful, but very curvy and slow.

- I just got off the superfast Italo train from Rome, but I prefer the Regional trains in Italy.

- Pay full rental car insurance. Otherwise, you will most likely have to pay extra when you return the car. Especially if you are driving on gravel roads.

- No plan, but the next train was going to Pisa and we ended up in Livorno on the coast.
Don't be afraid to spend money on travel. Be afraid of getting old and realizing the only place you traveled to was your job.
